Welcome to VitalLens! Your privacy is important to us, and we are committed to protecting it. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your personal information when you use our app VitalLens. By using the app, you agree to the terms outlined in this policy.

1. What Information Do We Collect and How Is This Done?

Most importantly, we do not collect your video or vitals data through VitalLens.

Beyond that, we use the following third-party services which collect data unrelated to your video or vitals:

  • Google AdMob: Unless you have paid to remove ads and opted out of all ads, we use Google AdMob for displaying advertisements. AdMob collects data for ad targeting (unrelated to your video and vitals). Unless you have opted out of this behavior, AdMob also employs a unique identifier associated with your device.
  • Google Firebase Analytics: We use Google Firebase Analytics to collect analytical data on how our app is performing. This includes information about app usage, user interactions, and device information (again, unrelated to your video or vitals).

2. How Is Your Information Used?

  • Google Firebase Analytics: We use the data provided by Google Firebase Analytics to help us identify areas for improvement, understand user behavior, and enhance your experience with VitalLens.

3. Data Retention and Your Privacy Choices

  • Data Retention: We retain data collected by Google that is associated with cookies, user identifiers, or advertising identifiers for a period of 2 months to fulfill the purposes outlined in Section 2 of this Privacy Policy.
  • Opting Out: We will ask you whether you want to opt out of tracking related to ads. If you choose to opt out, we will no longer allow AdMob to use your unique identifier to track you.

  • In compliance with GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation), users in the EEA (European Economic Area) will see a message asking for their consent regarding the data collected through Google AdMob and Google Firebase Analytics.   • In compliance with US State Regulations, we restrict data processing to only show non-personalised ads for users located in applicable states.
